Highlights: Nearing bowling perfection, two opponents supported one another rather than try to outdo the other. The camaraderie helped out both competitors, as Bay Shore senior John Trzcinski and North Babylon sophomore Darren McGarrity each rolled a 300 game in Game 2 of their teams' match at Bay Shore Bowl yesterday. "It was an adrenaline rush, and I got all shaky towards the 10th frame," said McGarrity, who achieved the feat for the first time. "But [Trzcinski] was telling me to calm down and relax." In between offering words of encouragement, Trzcinski was engrossed in his own pursuit of perfection. Amy Fadowski rolled a 234 in Game 2 of a 606 series. Trzcinski knew what to say to McGarrity because was perfect four times before. "It never gets old, you've just got to focus," he said. The two met during club bowling events and have developed a relationship over the past year. "We've got to stick together," Trzcinski said. "He's a great kid and we have good chemistry." The pair finished the match on a similar note. Trzcinski rolled a 718 series, while McGarrity had a 717.
