Mr. K. Luna: Physical Science Course Requirements Dear Parents, Thank you so much for attending this evening’s Meet the Teacher night. I greatly appreciate it. As I hope Mr. Willis can fill you in, I have been selected as one of 2-3 teachers nationwide to serve as a judge for Discovery’s Young Scientist Challenge, which is the top science competition for middle school students in America. Unfortunately that put me in the position of not being able to be here to meet with you tonight, although it should provide me with some great new material to help educate your children as it did last year. Please rest assured that classes have been running smoothly, and that your children, to date, seem terrific. A rough breakdown is as follows: Tests..............................................................................50% Labs...............................................................................25% Quizzes...........................................................................15% Homework...................................................................…5% Class Participation........................................................5% * There will be a midterm and a final which will be cumulative. ** The notebook check each quarter will count as one test. *** All projects will count as one test.
