Summer Reading Club Celebration School may be out for summer, but reading remains in!! This summer 53 wonderful and hardworking students continued their excellent reading habits. These students read between 2 and 43 books over the summer by participating in the North Babylon Public Library’s Teen Summer Reading Club.
A partnership was forged with Ms. Jennifer Olsen, the Library Media Specialist, at Robert Moses Middle School and Ms. Sue Sloan, the public library’s Young Adult Librarian. Students participated in a number of literature related activities at both school and the public library. The final collaborative effort was the Summer Reading Awards Breakfast. The students were honored with a certificate of recognition and a book of their choice donated by Dr. Maureen Fallon, Director of Social Studies and English Language Arts. |
