The following is a message from Dr.Aloise that was sent out
through the ConnectEd telephone alert system regarding the security threat at
the
high school today.
Good morning. This is the North Babylon Schools Superintendent, Dr. Aloise.
Today, Wednesday, June 11, a threat was made against the high school.
Specifically, information came to administration suggesting that a weapon might
be hidden outside the high school, on school grounds.
The high school was immediately placed on a modified lockdown in accordance
with the District’s Emergency Plan, while District Security and the Suffolk
County Police Canine Squad searched the premises. After a thorough search,
nothing was found. The regular school day will continue as planned. All after
school activities at the high school are cancelled today.
Thank you for your cooperation.
