North Babylon’s Garden Club Lends a Helping Hand

The North Babylon High School Garden Club had a great time visiting Island Harvest’s Healthy Harvest Farm in Brentwood. They learned about food insecurity on Long Island and how community members can help. The club tended to the garden and harvested radishes, turnips, cilantro and Jerusalem artichokes. Students then washed and packed the produce to be distributed to the various food pantries across Long Island.
