Woods Road Elementary School is seeking a reliable, responsible, and caring individual to join our team as a Cafeteria Aide. This position plays an important role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students during their lunch periods.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising students during lunch to ensure safety and appropriate behavior
  • Assisting students as needed during mealtime
  • Monitoring the cafeteria and surrounding areas for cleanliness and tidiness
  • Supporting arrival and dismissal routines in the cafeterias.
  • Working collaboratively with school staff to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential
  • Ability to be on your feet and active throughout the shift

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 11:45 AM to 2:30PM, on school days.

Woods Road Elementary School in the North Babylon Union Free School District is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Permanent Substitute Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will report daily to the building and provide instructional support as needed across various subject areas and grade levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing coverage for classroom teachers during absences.
  • Implementing lesson plans left by teachers or delivering prepared instructional materials.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Assisting with supervision duties throughout the school day (hallways, cafeteria, arrival/dismissal, etc.).
  • Being flexible and ready to work in a variety of classrooms and with different student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification.
  • Prior classroom experience preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments quickly and effectively.
