Position Overview:
Robert Moses Middle School is seeking a qualified and adaptable educator to serve as a short-term leave replacement for a Grades 7–8 mathematics position. The selected candidate will deliver standards-aligned instruction focused on building students' conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills during the coverage period.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging math instruction for Grade 7 and Grade 8 students (e.g., ratios and proportional relationships, expressions and equations, linear relationships, functions, and introductory geometry concepts)

Implement existing lesson plans and pacing guides aligned to district curriculum and state standards
-
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including support for struggling learners and enrichment for advanced students
-
Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
-
Use formative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
-
Collaborate with math team members and school administration to ensure continuity of instruction

Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and classroom records
Qualifications:
-
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12 or appropriate middle school certification) or Elementary Education with a math specialization

Prior experience teaching middle school mathematics, particularly Grades 7–8, preferred

Strong instructional, classroom management, and organizational skills

Ability to quickly step into an established classroom and maintain instructional momentum
Compensation:

Compensation in accordance with district policy for leave replacement positions

Position Overview
Robert Moses Middle School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Chorus Teacher to lead and inspire our middle school vocal music program for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality vocal instruction, foster musical growth, while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Qualifications

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with district salary schedules and contractual agreements.
