Shrek and Donkey
North Babylon High School’s Drama Club delighted audiences with a lively production of Shrek the Musical, performed on February 28 and March 1 in the school auditorium. The students brought the beloved story of an ogre’s journey to life with spirited storytelling, memorable songs, and vibrant costumes. Behind the scenes, the talented student pit orchestra provided live music, while the stage crew and costume crew worked tirelessly to create seamless scene changes, stunning visuals, and imaginative designs that made the fairy-tale world a reality. This production truly showcased the teamwork, creativity, and dedication of North Babylon’s fine and performing arts students.

Instrument Petting Zoo
In May, North Babylon High School musicians hosted an Instrument Petting Zoo, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere where third-grade students explored the world of music. The event gave students the chance to try out a variety of band and orchestra instruments, listen to live demonstrations, and receive guidance from experienced high school performers. This tradition reflects the strong sense of community and commitment that defines the North Babylon music program, with teachers, students, and families coming together to inspire the next generation of musicians. The day was filled with excitement, support, and the shared joy of making music!
North Babylon High School Launches TV Studio Classes
North Babylon High School proudly introduced its inaugural TV Studio classes this year, led by teacher James Avila. Thirty students explored the world of media production, learning to frame shots, manage audio and video, edit with CapCut, design graphics, and create logos. Highlights included producing their first live news brief and interviewing the Superintendent. Building on this success, three classes will run this school year with the goal of creating a recurring show to spotlight school events and activities.
