Budget Vote PSA

Students in the North Babylon High School Television Broadcasting class recently produced an exclusive interview with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham to discuss the upcoming school budget vote and a change in the polling location. Under the guidance of their teacher James Avila, the student-led production showcased their skills both on and off camera. Ayden Sproul was the on-air interviewer, while Myriam Abbas worked the switchboard, Gabriel Rivera ran the sound/teleprompter, Joshua Castelli produced the graphics and Milani Russell and Kasey Ferris were operating the camera.

Environmental Club Visits Hempstead Energy Park

The Environmental Club from Robert Moses Middle School recently had the opportunity to visit the Hempstead Energy Park. The club met with members of the center to discuss alternative energy sources such as solar power, wind power and more. In addition, students visited the shellfish hatchery, which is committed to restoring Long Island’s shellfish population. Shellfish are an important part of the marine ecosystem as they help to filter and clean the water, maintaining balance.
