Belmont Students Learn Mindfulness Tools
Fourth and fifth grade students at Belmont Elementary School participated in a special mindfulness assembly presented by Cohen Children’s Medical Center on May 28.
During the interactive program, students learned valuable strategies for managing emotions and handling challenges by focusing on their thoughts and feelings in the present moment. The assembly emphasized the importance of self-awareness, emotional regulation and maintaining a positive mindset.
Students actively engaged in a variety of mindfulness activities and techniques designed to help them feel calm, focused and grounded. These practices included breathing exercises, positive affirmations, movement activities and using their five senses to stay present and mindful.
The experience provided students with practical tools they can use both inside and outside the classroom to support their emotional well-being and overall mental health.
