Students in Mr. Yarosz's and Ms. Wegener's 11th grade U.S. History class participated in a hands-on learning activity called a silent written discussion. Each student analyzed a historical document given to them and wrote a brief description of their document on chart paper. When they were done, students formulated questions and added comments to each other's descriptions to make connections.
