Workshops Bring Best Practices to High School Teachers

Posted Date: 10/22/24 (11:00 PM)

Professional development is a top priority in North Babylon School District. To kick off the new school year, North Babylon High School Assistant Principal Colleen Ligonde and North Babylon School District Coordinator of Social Studies Eliot Lewin are leading a book study with high school teachers on the book “Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain” by Zaretta Hammond. The four monthly one-hour workshops build upon one another to develop a comprehensive understanding of the culturally responsive framework and ways to incorporate best practices into classrooms to support all learners.
