Superintendent Gets Behind the Wheel

Posted Date: 10/25/24 (11:16 AM)

National School Bus Safety Week is Oct. 21-25. The annual celebration promotes the importance of school bus safety for students, parents and communities. It serves as a reminder of the role that school buses play in transporting students safely. Members of Suffolk Transportation Service paid a special visit to North Babylon High School on Oct. 23 to meet with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham. Dr. Graham received a tour of one of the newer buses and its updates and safety features. A bus driver also showed him many of the safety checks the drivers go through each day before boarding the bus. Dr. Graham even had the opportunity to see what it was like to be a bus driver, taking the bus for a short ride in the high school parking lot.
