Three HS Students Chosen for PRHYLI trip

Three North Babylon High School students – Maria Martinez, Megan Mego and Melany Machuca Garcia – have been selected as delegates for the 2025 Statewide Angelo del Toro Puerto Rican Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute Mock Assembly trip to Albany from March 8-10.
Only 45 high school students from Long Island were chosen to attend. Selection was based on several key criteria including attendance at training sessions, completion of assignments, active participation, contributions during speaking activities and the ability to work collaboratively in teams. 
“We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our students and extend our congratulations to those selected to represent Long Island at this prestigious event,” said North Babylon High School Principal Dr. Jonathan Klomp. “Your dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing you shine in Albany.”
