Budget Vote PSA

Students in the North Babylon High School Television Broadcasting class recently produced an exclusive interview with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham to discuss the upcoming school budget vote and a change in the polling location. Under the guidance of their teacher James Avila, the student-led production showcased their skills both on and off camera. Ayden Sproul was the on-air interviewer, while Myriam Abbas worked the switchboard, Gabriel Rivera ran the sound/teleprompter, Joshua Castelli produced the graphics and Milani Russell and Kasey Ferris were operating the camera.

North Babylon’s Future Musicians Sample Instruments

On April 7, North Babylon High School held its third annual instrument petting zoo. The event began with an in-school field trip for all third graders, where students were introduced to the music programs available to them in fourth grade. In the morning, students and their teachers heard solo performances from North Babylon High School musicians. In the evening, students and parents returned for a second short introduction to the instrumental program and then entered the instrument petting zoo, where they could listen to and play all the instruments of the band and orchestra. North Babylon High School students became instructors to help the younger students make their first sounds.
