William E. DeLuca Elementary School recently hosted Uniquely You: Celebrating Our Differences. The event was created to help students better understand and embrace neurodiversity within the school community. Students rotated through engaging stations including sensory integration, movement breaks, a read-aloud of “All My Stripes” and an augmentative communication experience. Organized by the school’s occupational therapists, speech teachers and special education teachers, each activity was designed to build empathy, celebrate individuality and foster a deeper appreciation for the unique ways we all experience and interact with the world.
