Symphony Orchestra Students Experience Music Up Close at Lincoln Center

The North Babylon High School Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ms. Verderosa, recently attended an open rehearsal as part of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Music Up Close series. Students toured Lincoln Center and observed The Miro Quartet as they prepared for an upcoming performance.

This unique opportunity allowed students to experience a professional dress rehearsal, interact with world-class musicians, and gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical context of the works being performed. It was an inspiring day that brought classroom learning to life and highlighted the enduring power of live music.
