Superintendent's Message 2-24-2026

Posted Date: 02/24/26 (06:03 PM)

Good afternoon North Babylon students, families, and staff.

All schools will operate on a normal schedule starting tomorrow, Wednesday 2-24-2026.  We would like to express our gratitude to our facilities, maintenance, custodial, and transportation staff who were working around the clock since Sunday evening clearing our schools and facilities from this historical snowstorm.  Their efforts were nothing short of tremendous!

As the snow starts to melt, we realize that there is more winter weather on the way.  We ask that everyone remain extra careful on the roads while heading into school, and plan to take some extra time.  We have been in communication with the Town of Babylon during the storm to check in on locations that may be in need of additional shoveling or plowing.  We will continue to work with the Town as they have been very responsive and collaborative.

Lastly, we ask that you speak with your children about staying safe while walking to school or to and from the bus stops.   The roads are narrower than usual which will impact bus schedules.  Please be patient as there may be some delays with the buses in the coming days.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.  All schools will operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday 2-25-2026.

Thank you

Ken Graham, Superintendent of Schools
